Position: Electrical Project Engineer
Reporting To: Manager, Electrical Engineering
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the electrical engineering of carton handling conveyor
systems. Each system is custom designed per customer specifications. This
requires a team effort of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and project
management to develop and implement a design concept that satisfies the customer's
requirements for functionality, productivity and expense.
The Electrical Project Engineer:
| Directs a CAD engineer in electrical design of the conveyor system including schematics and locating electrical devices. | |
| Prepares sequence of operation documentation, describing how the system functions. | |
| Prepares schematics and specifications for electrical control panel design. | |
| Prepares documentation and bid packages for electrical contractors. | |
| Creates PLC (Program Logic Control) program for motor and solenoid controls. | |
| Travels to project site to implement PLC program. Ensures that electrical controls are operating as required. |
Skills Required:
| Strong interest in applications based electrical engineering. | |
| Must be familiar with AutoCad. | |
| Must be capable of working as part of the design and implementation team. | |
| Must have excellent communication skills. | |
| Must be self motivated. |
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in
Electrical Engineering is required.
