Position: Project Manager
Reporting To: Manager, Project Management
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the installation of
carton handling conveyor systems. Each carton handling conveyor systems is custom
designed per customer specifications. The project manager is the liaison between
Automotion and the customer and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the
mechanical and electrical installation to ensure that the specified job is completed on
time and within budget.
The Project Manager:
| Works with the mechanical and electrical engineering team to develop and implement a production/installation schedule. | |
| Maintains a thorough record of costs using pre-existing software. | |
| Works with the engineering department to finalize design, prepare bid packages for subcontractors and procure any necessary permits. | |
| Insures that all loose ends or open issues are resolved. | |
| Provides reports/documentation for each of his projects on a bi-weekly basis. | |
| Travels to project site as necessary to facilitate a problem-free installation. |
Skills Required:
| 3-5 years experience in the material handling industry. | |
| Must be capable of working as part of the design and implementation team. | |
| Must have excellent communication skills. | |
| Must be self-motivated. |
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree. A
degree in general or mechanical engineering is a plus, but not a requirement.
