Position:                    Systems Structural Engineer

Reporting To:           Engineering Manager

Job Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, Autocad skills and be detail orientated. The selected candidate would support our lead structural system engineers in the design of mezzanines, pick modules and storage rack systems. The position carries a full range of Design/Build engineering responsibilities.

Typical responsibilities would include:

bullet Design rack, mezzanine and equipment support structures.
bullet Prepare fabrication drawings in Autocad
bullet Perform all structural analyses, provide required calculations and prepare necessary submittals to satisfy industry codes and local building codes.
bullet Size structural and roll formed members.
bullet Develop material takeoffs and bills of material for proposals and orders.
bullet Responsible for the preparation, review and coordination of the proposal, approval and installation drawings.
bullet Communicate with both internal and client design/engineering team members from conceptual design through the implementation phase of the project.
bullet Utilize structural steel design (MathCAD and STAAD).
bullet Structural Racking design and layout.
bullet Obtain vendor quotations for mezzanine, pick module, and storage rack components.
bullet Select vendors and write purchase order requests.
bullet Provide technical support to Sales Account Managers.
bullet Visit job sites for field verification.

bullet Must be analytical, detail oriented and thorough. 
bullet Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. 
bullet Must be capable of working as part of the design and implementation team.
bullet Must have excellent communication skills.
bullet Must be self-motivated.
bullet Must have excellent spatial skills.

Educational Requirements:

          Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
          Excellent technical and communication skills are desirable.
